Marjolein is professor of Psychosocial Innovations with Dementia at Maastricht University. She is head of the Alzheimer Center Limburg and healthcare psychologist at the Geheugenpoli at the Maastricht University Medical Center (MUMC). Her research is aimed at improving the quality of life of people with dementia and their loved ones. Her efforts are aimed at not only developing and evaluating psychosocial innovations, but also making them widely available in practice.
