Erik has been a Professor of Medical Technology Assessment at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) since 2006. He played a key role as Program Director for Healthy Ageing at UMCG from 2009 to 2015. Erik is also involved in advisory roles related to suicide prevention, healthcare, and education, showcasing his dedication to improving public health and academic research for over 17 years.
