After the loss of his best friend in February 2019, he fully committed to AI technology for people with dementia and their caregivers. In mid-2020, he submitted a QoLEAD project proposal to ZonMW/Health Holland, which was awarded to the current team a year later. His passion is to use AI to facilitate a happier life with dementia, enabling individuals to live independently at home with a high quality of life. As an entrepreneur with expertise in AI, decision-making, and international market expansion, he creates new opportunities and business models for affordable products worldwide. Building on his previous publications for the Dutch National Police and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), he developed the Ethical Supplement (Ethische Bijsluiter). This framework ensures the safeguarding of human-centric ethical aspects of AI, specifically tailored for AI products serving people with dementia.
