Roel Boumans is attached as assistant professor to the Communication & Media group of the Behavioural Science Institute of the Radboud University. His research focuses on the use of intelligent virtual humans and social robots. He is currently developing an empathic virtual coach for people with amnesia, as well as virtual humans for other contexts.
