Canan is an experienced researcher and lecturer at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), specializing in aging, nutrition and lifestyle and contributing to the Care Innovation Knowledge Centre of RUAS. She is also involved in key roles such as serving on the ZonMw Committee for Care and Support and as a Supervisory Board Member of LOC Waardevolle Zorg.
